After formative experiences as a camper and counselor in the silversmithing and lighting and sound design shops at the summer camp Buck's Rock, served as a founding board member for a non-profit dedicated to enabling, through full scholarships, a more diverse group of campers to attend the camp, make art, and explore a range of mediums and creative outlets such as glassblowing, painting, ceramics, theater, lighting design, music, book arts, typography, and welding.

Produced ten membership-based social events annually, and manage and design the associated monthly art subscription, collaborating with other artists and event organizers. Contributed to the collective NYCSS project to create safer social spaces in the community. Wrote a book on etiquette, manners, and style.

Studied under more experienced counselors and taught campers traditional and modern metalsmithing, primarily working in sterling silver. Techniques includes wax model making, centrifugal lost wax casting, fitting, saw and hand work, gem setting, soldering, and polishing.
